Cyclone Alfredge Approaches Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales

Tropical cyclone Alfredge is due to make landfall north of Brisbane, bringing heavy rain, flooding, and strong winds. Already wind gusts of 130 kilometres per hour have been detected at the centre of Alfred, which is 195 kilometres east of Brisbane. The cyclone may weaken to a category one upon landfall.
